Guangzhou - Day Five

Sign of the day.

Song Song leaving with us after our first meeting, the second day we were in China. She is still wearing her name tag, which is apparently worn at all times at the orphanage, and it was a few hours before she would let us take it off.

Song Song and I strolling at the Chen Ancestral Hall.

All of us by the one of the two lions that guard the memorial.

Georgia in her traditional silk dress.

Happier now.

You guys look like a really happy family. When do you get to bring your daughters home?

Precious (in a not Precious Moments kinda way. So now I wish I'd picked a different word.)

Everyone's gorgeous and it's all so beautiful and I'm especially happy to see that Georgia looks genuinely happy. And THAT's what's beautiful. Isn't that cool, how happy is so beautiful?

Moparman here. I have watched this site with much joy and pride, since my family has adopted Anna Song Song...a beautiful daughter to complement their loving family! I'm also pleased that Moparmamma could join them and be a part of the wonerful experience. We've exchanged eMail and learned more about their activities. Leezer is suffering with a bad back, and was taken for medical treatment today by their guide. I don't yet know the results. Anna will only let Leezer carry her, which has aggravated the condition. They purchased a stroller, but it's been only useful as a purse carrier since Anna won't have anything to do with it. As Leezer said in an earlier post, she is unable to respond to your comments in the blog, but is able to read them. They return 6/22 after Anna is made a US citizen at the US Consulate. They must be in China for 10 days before that ceremony can take place.
On a personal note, today is Moparman/mamma's 49th wedding anniversary. Yippeeee!
